Local Dissemination Nodes

LDN

As part of the training and dissemination activities of InMAR, a special focus will also be given to the dissemination of results to local SMEs by introducing regional dissemination nodes. Basically, these dissemination nodes will act as point of contact for interested SMEs to obtain information on technologies considered within the InMAR project. In order to stay competitive they have to constantly offer new innovative or alternative solutions to their cus-tomers to meet future tightened standards and regulations on e.g. noise emission. Here, they often must rely on emerging technologies derived at universities and research centers if these technologies are outside their current core business. On the other hand, SMEs promoting those emerging technologies such as smart structures or active noise reduction concepts are typically not able to perform research on a larger scale and strongly rely on the dissemination of results of European or national projects. The same applies to SMEs evolving from the new member or associated states which do not yet have sufficient access to the R&D community in Western Europe. To spread relevant technological information into those groups of SMEs regional dissemination nodes are being established within InMAR to disseminate not only the results of the InMAR project but also smart structure technology in general.

Via dedicated partners from the InMAR consortium acting as points of contact (dissemination node), interested SMEs will be introduced to the state-of-the-art in smart structure technology in general and active noise reduction concepts in particular. Furthermore, local seminars or workshops can be set up for interested SMEs on specific topics of intelligent material systems for active noise control whereas partners from InMAR will act as lecturers. Interested SMEs will also be granted premium access to selected project training activities as well as assistance being provided in using the technology considered within InMAR. These activities are com-plementary to existing networks for technology transfer and strictly focus on smart structure technology.

In order to set up the Local Dissemination Nodes according to your needs, we kindly ask you to fill out the questionnaire and send it back to your nearest Local Dissemination Node. It will take only a few minutes to fill out this questionnaire and it will be kept strictly confidential.

Thank you very much for your help.
